Just as night owls thrive in the solitude of a midnight silence, evening pollinators do their best work in the dark—and some plants have evolved to attract them. White-colored blossoms that appear blinding under bright sun transform into delicate shimmery landing pads under the lunar light, when other colors disappear from the landscape. They emit intoxicating aromas, much stronger than those of day-blooming plants—another adaptation to stay noticeable in the veiled landscape of the night.
