Myosotis, or more commonly known as Forget Me Not has a rich history and meaning behind its humble appearance. It grows an abundance of small blue flowers that have become a symbol of remembrance of true and undying love. The common name "forget-me-not" was calqued from the German Vergissmeinnicht, and first used in English in 1398 AD via King Henry IV. A large number of stories and myths surround the plant, including one of two lovers walking along the Danube River first seeing the bright blue blossoms. The man retrieved the flowers for the woman, but he was swept away by the river and told her not to forget him as he floated away.

About Michael Michaud Jewelry
The Michael Michaud Jewelry Collection, designed by Michael Michaud, is a world renowned collection of botanical jewelry. It captures the beauty and exquisite detail of nature using soft patinas on bronze accented with pearls, beads, coral and stones. His exacting attention to detail gives you true to nature, botanical jewelry.
This unique jewelry is made by creating molds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-wax casting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michael Michaud instead uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. A mold is created around the botanical element and as it is heated the plant matter burns away and leaves behind a beautifully detailed mold of itself.
Michael Michaud Jewelry is renowned for its beauty and workmanship and is featured in the finest museums, galleries and speciality retailers around the world. Many collections are commissioned by leading museums such as The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The National Gallery of Art and the Château de Versailles.
Each piece of Michael Michaud Jewelry is handcrafted in New York, U.S.A.
