Native to Australia, the eucalyptus is a genus of over 700 species, ranging from handsome landscape trees to large shrubs. They are not only known for their beauty, but also for their aromatic leaves which are the primary source of eucalyptus oil. The leaves range in both color and shape. As a young plant, the eucalyptus displays round leaves, whilst the adult leaves are long and slender and hang downwards from single stalks. Round leaf eucalyptus is particularly popular in the floral industry and is often used as greenery in floral arrangements or as accents in wedding and home décor.

Cast bronze with a hand patina finish. Accented with a 24k gold finish and freshwater pearls.

About Michael Michaud Jewelry
The Michael Michaud Jewelry Collection, designed by Michael Michaud, is a world renowned collection of botanical jewelry. It captures the beauty and exquisite detail of nature using soft patinas on bronze accented with pearls, beads, coral and stones. His exacting attention to detail gives you true to nature, botanical jewelry.

This unique jewelry is made by creating molds directly from botanical elements in a process similar to lost-wax casting. While traditional lost-wax casting begins with a hand-carved model of wax, Michael Michaud instead uses an actual leaf, branch or flower in place of the wax model. A mold is created around the botanical element and as it is heated the plant matter burns away and leaves behind a beautifully detailed mold of itself.

Michael Michaud Jewelry is renowned for its beauty and workmanship and is featured in the finest museums,  galleries and speciality retailers around the world. Many collections are commissioned by leading museums such as The Victoria & Albert Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, The National Gallery of Art and the Château de Versailles.

Each piece of Michael Michaud Jewelry is handcrafted in New York, U.S.A.
